The bubbles made us happy =)

I had the day off on Canada Day and I envisioned the day being spent on the beach (tanning sur la plage), eating amazing bbq while sipping on delicious sangria! However, due to the unfortunate weather Vancouver's been having, we bbq-ed in conditions that felt like winter! Mes Amies were daring enough to 'dress up' for a mini-photoshoot - I asked them to wear 'bbq-attire', while I was all bundled up in high-waisted Acne jeans and a cashmere shawl haha. For me, Jo's Talula floral high-waisted skirt screams SUMMER - I find it's hard to find floral prints that are not too granny and not too tacky (you know what I mean)... Vanessa is also rocking the new Talula cargo jacket which is another must-have-item for the season! Anyways, we tried to make most out of the jour and luckily the bubbles made our day. Although the weather was not on our side, the lighting was perfect for great photos which were captured in only a couple shots.

- Love, S.

You know, I don't think I've ever seen that Talula floral skirt before. She wears it well.

Loving the bubbles - definitely bring it out for more photos!

Too bad it wasn't nice out, but hey, at least the clouds made for nice/soft lighting :)
